PROF. DEBBIE LANIN, OF COUNSEL, SELECTED FOR FEDERAL CLERKSHIP (US DISTRICT COURT)
NEW YORK, N.Y. (Press Release) – Lanin Law P.C. is pleased to announce that Professor Debbie Lanin, who has been of Counsel to the Firm, will be stepping down from her position with Touro Law School to return to Federal Clerkships in the United States District Court. In April 2014, Professor Lanin will become Federal Law Clerk to the Honorable Kathleen Tomlinson in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York at Central Islip through October 2014. As of October 2014, Professor Lanin will then become Federal Law Clerk to the Honorable Arlene R. Lindsay for the Eastern District of New York at Central Islip.
Prior to her stint with Touro Law School and Lanin Law P.C., Professor Lanin gained invaluable experience working as a career Law Clerk for United States District Judge Denis R. Hurley in the Eastern District of New York for nearly eight years and as a term Law Clerk for United States Magistrate Judge Robert M. Levy in the Eastern District of New York for fifteen months. Before her Federal Clerkships, Professor Lanin was associated with two prestigious Manhattan firms: Lane & Mittendorf LLP (now Windels Marx Lane & Mittendorf, LLP) and Squadron, Ellenoff, Plesent & Sheinfeld, LLP, where she was a litigator.
